About
Roaming Bean Coffee
Great coffee, real hospitality, and a community built one cup at a time.
Our Story
Roaming Bean Coffee started with a simple idea: serve excellent coffee, and take the time to actually connect with the people drinking it.
Founder Jasraj Sangha launched Roaming Bean Coffee as a mobile espresso cart, bringing handcrafted drinks to events across the Bay Area. What set him apart wasn't just the coffee — it was the hospitality. Five minutes of real conversation for every cup served. Eater SF called it out. Customers came back for it.
That same spirit now has a permanent home at the Berkeley Waterfront, where we operate an outdoor cafe steps from the bay. Organic Straus milk, house-made syrups, and drinks made to order — with the same care whether you're our first customer of the day or our hundredth.
We still cater events across California too. The cart goes wherever good coffee is needed — corporate offsites, weddings, private parties. Same quality, same hospitality, just on wheels.
What We Stand For
Quality in Every Cup
Hospitality First
Community Rooted
We use organic Straus milk, house-made syrups from real ingredients, and dairy-free options across the menu. Thoughtful choices in every cup.
Coffee is the medium, but connection is the point. We take the time to know our regulars, welcome newcomers, and make everyone feel like they belong.
From our spot on the Berkeley Waterfront to the events we serve across California, we show up for the communities that show up for us.
